A high fibre foundation feed to which you add your own balance of minerals and vitamins. This enables you to finely tune your horses diet when micro-minerals eg iron, copper, zinc, selenium are present in pre-mixed feeds at levels confirmed not suitable for your horse or pony.

Adding a mineral vitamin supplement to any home made feed mix will not cater for the calcium and phosphorus essential to help maintain bones, joints and overall health.

‘DIY’-SMART-FEED™ has been carefully formulated so as to provide the correct balance for you to begin formulating your tailored feed.

If you cannot be confident the diet is meeting your horse or ponies needs then have it analyzed professionally. In some cases it may necessary to send away a blood sample for analysis. This may be the case if there are any concerns about your horses health or performance.

Our SMART-FEEDS may assist horses and ponies with common feed related gastro-intestinal-tract and hind-gut irritation. Horse owners have confirmed their horses and ponies seem more content when a SMART-FEED is provided as part of the daily diet.

Prepare DIY-SMART-FEED™ by adding an equal volume (or more) of clean water and allowing to soak for at least 15 minutes (can also be soaked for several hours) before feeding. This allows a film containing natural anti-inflammatories to be released. Our method of manufacture may increase longevity of nutrient value. 

SMART-FEEDS may also assist the respiratory function of horses and ponies when introduced as part of the daily diet.

Use daily as a wet feed / fibre option for horses and ponies that repeatedly suffer a dry throat, cough or common dust allergy.
